Right, so finally decided to set up a blog. Yeah, it's gonna be about my life (original, I think so) but I promise to- at least try and- keep you enchanted with my wise words. Clever? I think not. Like I borrowed that from the bible or something.
So who am I? My name's Lee, 18 years old, currently studying Journalism at Staffs Uni. I'm in my first year and taking modules in Shorthand, Law, The British Press, Theory & Practice and Story R&D. So far, so good.
Anyway, why I've set this up is simple- I want to write away my thoughts and feelings on the experience of university, an experience I am totally LOVING at the moment and want to share with other people. Aren't I nice? Oh yeah, by the way, be aware- I like to take the mick out of myself quite a bit, especially with words I write. But you're just gonna have to put up with it! So lemme get started...Imma let you finish but...kay, back to reality.
Today's been an awesome, but very long day! First I had to force myself out of bed because I went to Gobble last night (for those of you that don't know, Gobble is our student night out i.e. get drunk and dance like a fool then cringe at the pictures afterwards. What I do anyway...) but at least I managed it. Then toddled off to my Theory & Practice lecture, but was amazingly tired in that, although was really worthwhile going even though I woke up feeling pretty worse for wear! We basically did about story structure, before the lecture ended and it was time for some Ember Lounge (SU Bar) grub with the Journo crew (yep, we're that cool). But no, seriously, you will here a lot about this journo crew in my posts- and if you guys are reading this, you know who you are and you are awesome. Not to sound like an Oscar speech there or anything...
Next up, Theory and Practice workshop, and today's was really useful.
